Former President Donald Trump recently slammed Musk in a series of online comments after Musk announced he would no longer buy out Twitter. It’s unclear why Musk’s decision to back out of his agreement with Twitter would enrage Trump. Some people think it is because the former president secretly hoped Elon would keep his promise to reinstate him on the social media platform when he took over. Since then, the two have been trashing each other on social media. Elon Musk has said that Donald Trump should “hang up his hat” and is too old to run for President in 2024, citing a poll that showed the former president is rapidly losing support among Republican voters. According to Elon, the age at which a person can run for President of the United States should be limited. We have no way of knowing if this was a joke, but Elon believes that 69 is a good age for presidential candidates. “I don’t hate the man, but it’s time for Trump to hang up his hat & sail into the sunset,” Elon tweeted. Elon also said, “Trump would be 82 at end of term, which is too old to be chief executive of anything, let alone the United States of America.” The Tesla CEO’s tweet came after Trump made some nasty remarks about Elon over the Twitter sale during a public appearance in Alaska.

  1. A lot of us start of voting left, and end up voting right. And I love that there's surveys showing (and macrodata of many surveys) that the more that you know about politics, the higher your chance of voting right. With those that have a large knowledge of economics/politics being twice as likely to vote right over left. But I always wonder why someone with good knowledge sticks with the left? I spent all my life voting left, then started studying, spent 3 years trying not to become rightwing, and really after 2 I was convinced even though I tried everything I could to redeem the left in my mind. But what arguments keep knowledgeable people voting left? I don't get it

  2. They both need to hush! Trump shouldn't have said that about Elon, and Elon needs to leave it alone. This is just two strong-willed but mostly good men, who are bumping heads right now!

  3. Maybe this is why I can’t get back on Truth Social. Idk, but this makes me sad.
