SpaceX launches Globalstar satellite! Nails 3rd landing in 36 hours

A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched a communications satellite for Louisiana-based company Globalstar from Florida’s Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on June 19, 2022. The rocket’s first stage landed on the droneship Just Read The Instructions in the Atlantic Ocean minutes later. Full Story: https://www.space.com/spacex-launch-globalstar-satellite-land-rocket

The flight completed a SpaceX triple header that saw the private spaceflight company launch a Starlink batch and a German military satellite as well.

  1. SpaceX keeps nailing it, and that moron Bill Nelson will keep pissing away tax dollars on Astra. Nelson was never concerned about wasting tax dollars as a politician, why would we think he would change as the head of NASA? What is this trend we have in the US allowing doddering old fools the power to lead?

  2. Anyone willing to support me on this? I'm in my mid 50's – owner/director of a medium sized engineering company. We have many female staff at all levels. The female commentator in this broadcast is doing a good job. It is a real pain in the butt to hear the small chorus of mostly male voices sniping and criticizing her for not identifying lightning as the source of certain flashes of light. Other people were able to comment on this mistake without casting aspersions on the sex of the commentator, who was certainly on the ball, timely, and in my opinion gave a perfectly fine 'live' account of a real time process. Elon knows and understands the value of women in facilitating the operations of his organisation(s). Get her a bunch of flowers Elon! Or a ¾ inch socket set, air compressor and gas welding kit, or whatever she prefers in between. A remember that although men are big and strong and 'doers' of certain things, women are the ultimate creators on this planet.

  3. Disappointed that she lacks the ability to make an elementary distinction between a natural weather phenomena of lighting that is occurring in the background versus the nitrogen gas thrusts from the rocket which obviously doesn't emit photons.

  4. Seen stage separation live while watching the stars camping last night and had no idea I witnessed my first stage 2 engine live omg I'm so fucking stoked

  5. LOL those flashes are not the nitrogen thrusters they are lighting on earth see 2 big storms 🙄

  6. When I first saw one of these landings, I thought it was CG.

What SpaceX does is just great.

  7. Uhhh no lady.. those "bursts of nitrogen", as you guessed, are thunderstorms. Pretty important not to have ignorance when showing amazing achievements to people tuning in. Especially children.

  8. Cold gas thrusters give out no light. Those electric blue flashes were lightning in the clouds below.
    Beautiful!

  9. Its not CGI , take off the foil hat nerd, she made a mistake, those flashes are 100% lightening flashes due to the numerous electrical storms on and off the coast….. omg cgi, what a public education blunder with you..!

  10. I work with N2 every day, I cant understand why there is a light/flash when using N2. Its Not flammable so what is up?? CGI?

  11. Lot of people are hating on Musk for recent weeks lawsuits after lawsuits. It's clearly that there hating what he achieved, let the man live his life and do what he's doing.

  12. When they are able to turn those engines around within a few days, that's when space flight will truly be approaching "affordable". Awesome stuff SpaceX! Who would have thought that a private company could do it better than the government? When accountability comes into play, things tend to get done.

  13. The narrator comments on the flashing brightness of the nitrogen thrusters at 4:00 – when in actuality those flashes are lightening from thunderstorms in the Caribbean. Evidently she missed her first year of climatology in college…..

  14. Totally insane, and to think people put Elon on the same bag as Richard or Bezos, nonsense

  15. If anybody want a free trip to space and come back, ask Elon musk.
If any vacancies lef, I am ready!

  16. I thought they were flashes of lighting 🌩 back down on 🌍….
    Not thruster control!
    Beautiful at night time regardless.
    Great seeing humanity work together…
ANYTHING is possible if we work with each other and stop dividing ourselves.
Be blessed everyone on this sunny Sunday from England. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
    PEACE ✌

  17. Waiting for Starship! This is like I go to the office with my old car. (Joking) Please take Rogozin in a trip. Hope he will calm down.

  18. If I live to be 100 I will still be amazed at the accuracy of these landings!!! Amazing engineering especially when you consider it is just over 100 years of powered flight!👏👏👏 greetings from U.K. 🇬🇧

  19. Saw this one fire second stage over the Midwest last night. Was one of the coolest things I have ever seen.

  20. Those landings never get old!! Nice that video coverage is so much better now…thanks to the starlink dish on the drone ship!
